Apparently the last thing I read was THE POET X??? I’m confused because that feels like so long ago?? It probably was because I’ve been reading SIEGE & STORM for practically a month for some reason. But I LOVED this book. It is definitely the best verse novel I’ve read; the writing was so on point and sophisticated yet relatable yet punchyouinthegut. At its core, this book is about a teen girl coming to terms with her own beliefs and breaking from her parents and becoming her own person, and it’s a powerful and important story that I think lots of teens would relate to, even if they don’t have the religious connection. This book was so intense at times and broke my heart but it’s SO GOOD and all of you need to read it right now if you haven’t yet.

I’m continuing my Grisha trilogy reread with SIEGE & STORM so I can finally read RUIN & RISING. I guess it’s only been since this past July that I tried to read it but it feels like a “finally” situation because everyone else has already read this series and I’m SO BEHIND. SIEGE & STORM was a little slow for me at first because I don’t think I was in the mood, but it’s picked up now and I’m digging it again.

I’m debating between four books (yeah, I know that’s a lot). I might like to go straight into RUIN & RISING, but I may also need a break from Grisha books so I might pick one of these. I’m somewhat interested in YOU’D BE MINE because it’s about country music and I love any kind of music-themed romance, but I’m also a little over straight white romances, so we’ll see. NEVER-CONTENTED THINGS sounds like a weird fae book and I’ll pick up anything fae. OPPOSITE OF ALWAYS sounds all kinds of romantic and cute, and I’ve seen some really positive reviews of this one. So it’s a mystery what I’ll read next, but I have a lot of good things to pick from!

I love anything Grisha. This first series is good but Six of Crows is so much better. I still need to start King of Scars. I do like to take a break in the middle of fantasy books and read a cute fun book. Hope you love the book you pick.

thanks 🙂 I’m very curious to read Six of Crows when I’m done with the grisha trilogy. I hope I love it as much as the rest of the book community

ooh yes the grishaverse is so good!! I put it off for a long time because when it came out I wasn’t as into fantasy anymore, but omg it’s so worth reading! I really hope you like it if you decide to read it 🙂
