Easter Readathon TBR

Hello hi there oh hey I am BACK!! I had a very nice time away, which I plan to post about soon in addition to a few other posts I have planned, but first, I want to share my TBR for the Easter 🐣 Readathon that’s happening this weekend from April 19-22 and being hosted by Kate at Reading Through Infinity.

This readathon has some prompts and while I’m sure I definitely won’t be able to complete them all, I do have some books I’ve been wanting to read that could fit for a few…

Book by a POC ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

The book I want to read for this category is Claire Kann’s second book, IF IT MAKES YOU HAPPY. I honestly don’t even remember what this book is about other than it has fat rep but I’d read anything by this author because I adored her debut, LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE, last year. If the ships are as good as in that book, I plan to be swooning the whole time.

A book about an animal or pet πŸ“πŸˆπŸ¦”

I’m cheating with this one a little bit because it’s technically about monsters but it’s called PET so I think it should count. It’s about a world where monsters supposedly don’t exist but the MC and her sister meet a weird creature that of course could be a monster. It sounds weird and cool and I’m psyched to read it.

A book with a yellow or green cover πŸ’›πŸ’š

Gold counts as yellow, right? For this prompt I’d LOVE to read a book I just got on edelweiss called KINGDOM OF SOULS, which I’ve been excited about since the deal was announced. It’s about a girl from a family of witch doctors who doesn’t have any magic of her own and sells a few years of her life to a demon to get it.

A book by a new to you author 🌸🌻🌹

I just got an ARC of THIS TIME WILL BE DIFFERENT by Misa Sigura, about a girl and her family’s flower shop, and it sounds utterly charming and I really can’t wait to read it. I also love having an ARC without the real cover so I’m going to feel super special reading it πŸ₯°

Are you participating in the Easter Readathon? Have you read any of these books? Which of them should I read first?
