ghost squad week: intro!

Hello, and welcome to another week-long book feature. I really want to up my game doing these for 2020 books, especially spring releases, because lots of authors are facing tour cancellations because of coronavirus.

This week will be content all about Claribel Ortega’s book, GHOST SQUAD!! This is a paranormal MG book that I’m super pumped to read and really hope I get at my library (whenever it opens again, anyway).

Here are some of the reasons I’m psyched for GHOST SQUAD:

  • It’s about two girls who cast a spell that accidentally awakens malicious spirits!
  • In other words: WITCHY YEAH YEAH
  • They have to work with one of their grandmas, who’s a witch, in order to keep the spirits from wreaking havoc on their town
  • Grandma has a chonky cat boi named Chunk
  • To sum up: ghosts, witches, and cats. What could be better??

(Also small social media plug, Claribel Ortega is a lovely human being and you should all follow her on Twitter.)

This book just sounds right up my alley and I really want to read more MG this year, and I’m really excited to share my content for it with you, which is all going to be WITCHY (no pun intended).

Here’s what you can expect this week for GHOST SQUAD content:

  • how to protect yourself when working with spirits
  • questions to ask spirits when you contact them
  • how to get rid of ghosts
