The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news about the past week, reading recaps, hauls, and more.
Honestly not much happened this week. I’m still on leave from work, but I go back this week, so I started getting nervous about that. I got my first Book of the Month box and I’m so excited about my picks! I ended up going with GET A LIFE, CHLOE BROWN, and THE FAMILY UPSTAIRS. I’m super excited to read both. I also thought of a grimoire business idea to make pre-filled grimoires for beginning witches?? I don’t know if I’ll end up doing it but I’m very excited about it.

OMG, y’all, I finished THE SISTERS OF THE WINTER WOOD and…my heart?!?! I relate to Liba so much and I loved the Jewish folklore and other folklore and the story was just so good and the writing was utterly brilliant. This book would’ve done so well if marketed as YA I think, and so many YA readers would love this book. I absolutely love this book and it’s probably a new favorite.
I’m currently reading one of my Book of the Month picks, THE FAMILY UPSTAIRS. I have NEVER read an adult thriller and don’t reach for adult fiction often, but for some reason this book about mass killings and cults really appealed to me and honestly I’m really enjoying it. The writing is so descriptive without being “purple prose” and just so atmospheric and eerie and I’m here for it.
