Queen makes sense. But why bone? Interesting.
bone was actually one of the first ones I started noticing, but yes, it is very interesting!
Huh, these authors really love substances, huh? Glass, ashes, bone, ink …
haha, yes, it looks that way!
It’s actually kinda interesting thinking about these words and how they connect to fantasy/one another. Like there’s queen and then there’s daughter. Daughter of the queen would be the princess and in a lot of fantasy books, the princess is the protagonist. Plus the entire court thing has to do with hierarchy (like how throne is used often as well) which is a staple to fantasy and a lot of the time a fantasy book centers around characters trying to get the most power. Ash is the result of fire and then idk about glass haha – I’m overthinking this but ANYWAY – good word choices 🙂
huh, they are all very interconnected, I hadn’t thought about that! thank you for your interesting comment 🙂
I’ve seen several of these on lists today, but this is the first one to feature ink. Interesting! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday
ooh, glad to be unique I guess, haha! thanks for your comment 😀
Would you recommend The Sin Eater’s Daughter?
I loved Isle of Blood and Stone so, so much! What did you think of it? I have Rachel Caine’s Great Library series and omg I’m looking forward to reading it 🙂
I haven’t actually read either of those books yet! I think the Great Library series sounds good as well though 🙂
