WWW Wednesday \\ 6-20-18

WWW Wednesday is a book blog meme hosted by Taking On A World of Words where book bloggers answer these questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What are you reading next?
  • What did you just finish reading?

I don’t do a lot of meme posts but I really like this one because what blogger or booklover in general doesn’t like to talk about the books they’re reading/are going to read? So here’s another WWW Wednesday post…

Currently Reading

Honestly, I’m not sure what I want to start reading. I just finished Morgan Matson’s SAVE THE DATE yesterday, which was simply delightful fluff, and now I feel very motivated to read the other books by her that have been sitting on my unread shelf for years. The characters from THE UNEXPECTED EVERYTHING made cameos in SAVE THE DATE and I am already intrigued by them, so I am currently leaning toward that.

However, I also just found out that ACE OF SHADES is diverse, which I didn’t know before, and I still have an eARC of DAUGHTER OF THE BURNING CITY that I haven’t read on my Kindle. I just read about that one on Goodreads and now I remember why I wanted to read it in the first place. Plus, I’m kinda in a fantasy mood, so maybe I’ll change my mind and read this one before TUE?

We shall see.

Just Finished

As I just mentioned, I just finished SAVE THE DATE! This book was so good and exceeded expectations. I was nervous about it a little bit because I don’t typically read books that are 400+ pages, especially contemporaries, but it flew by and was wonderful. This will definitely not be the last Morgan Matson book I read.

Reading Next

I guess what I read next depends on what I decide to start today. If I read the Morgan Matson book, I’ll probably read either DAUGHTER OF THE BURNING CITY or ACE OF SHADES next. I also started A REAPER AT THE GATES yesterday, but felt very disoriented in the story, so I think I’ll feel better if I reread A TORCH AGAINST THE NIGHT before I get into that one. So it’ll be either Amanda Foody or Sabaa Tahir next.
